If your ever having trouble finding races, your just not looking in the right places. There are plenty of 500-650 hp domestics and imports out there with the same problem you have. Yeah, I heard about this race and great kill!
These days you just about have to talk shit to get a race, and that's what he did. I totally believe you that you are at 505whp. He has a factory adjustable tensioner on the car, and this is typically upgraded past 500whp on that car. He had been complaining of belt slip, and this was the issue. While he does make 640whp, at about 4000 RPM the tensioner can't hold and he falls from 22 PSI down to about 14 PSI. With an aftermarket manual tensioner, he can set up the tension, and it will hold 22 PSI to redline. If you think I am bull shitting, I can post up thread after thread after thread of this problem from the Cobra boards. Let him get the manual tensioner, and I want to see a rematch, with his car running at its max. If you noticed in the second race he jumped you, but as soon as he hit about 4000 RPM, he loses about 8-10 PSI of boost, and you just reeled him back in. 8-10 PSI equals about 100whp, so now he's fighting with about 540whp in a 3800 lb vehicle, as opposed to your 505 in a 3100-3200lb vehicle. Basically, it comes down to power to weight, and he loses. Sweet rides, and congrats to both of you. |

Basically, it comes down to power to weight, and he loses. Sweet rides, and congrats to both of you. BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH. He asked for the race..
