The limited research shows it doesn't matter at all. That's straight from the supp guide from the bros at examine.com. You absolutely must go through the loading phase though. After that just take it whenever you want. One of the few supplements out there that actually works.

I tried creatine a while ago. Shit made me sick to hell. Might have been the brand and flavor though...

what are the other supplements that you would recommend?

Eating right. Seriously most supplements are garbage, and most people aren't eating right anyway so in that instance supplementing is pointless.
