With the baby we need something that can carry two adults, a baby seat and a dog while still carrying everything we need to set up camp for 2-3 days. It's also going to need to be able to get to the places I like to go.

So the truck is getting an overland setup. First thing to do was to build a shelf and "drawer" to organize my bed. I only had a couple days to get it out together before camping this last weekend.

The bottom slider is just cut to fit my bed snugly. It has 4 d-rings to strap the heavy items down and 8 eyelets for bungee cords. The top shelf is just a 4'x4' piece of plywood on a couple 2x4's. I use a bungee cord net to keep everything in place.

The sorta-plan is  to expand on this bed system with a dual battery setup to run all the house gear. A 12 volt cooler/fridge, a power station with 110VAC, 12VDC, and a couple USB ports. I have enough room to mount the second battery and a good sized water tank underneath the truck between the driveshaft and passenger side frame rail.

Also a 3" lift and 265/75r16's will be going on in the next couple weeks. Then it's bumpers. Options are limited for this model so a custom job may be in store. We'll see.

Lift kit and tires ordered. Got the tires through Amazon Prime for 5% less than everywhere else with free shipping. That's even less than getting them through my store at employee price.

Got everything except the torsion bars and tires installed. Just ran out of steam today. I need to lengthen the rear brake lines, speed sensor wires and vent tube. This thing is going to have some serious flex for an IFS truck.

since my other thread was deleted I'll just use this for everything.

Had a good ride Monday. Only did about 100 miles but it included river crossings, single lane paved switch backs (successfully got rid of the chicken strips on my knobbies!), over grown goat trails and some awesome hill climbs.

Yeah, bike is fine. Went to jump a log that was straddling some roots. Log was rotten, and broke kicking my rear tire out to the left. I stabbed my right foot down to keep balance and managed to wedge it between two roots. I kept going forward, but my foot didn't. Hyper-extended it pretty good. I got pulled off the back of the bike and it just fell over.

I can never live anywhere without mountains or water. After yesterday's shirty loss to Cam Stupidface Newton we took a really nice 40 foot J boat out for several hours. Blustery, raining and cold but it was awesome! I can't wait to get my boat in the water come spring.

It's true. Neither of those boats are imports, but they are still fun modes of transportation. Albeit a little slower than most of us are used to.
